An organization aimed at reaching individuals with limb loss to support them in achieving their full potential. Their website is full of valuable resources for education, support, and advocacy. They also offer resource specialists free of charge who are available to speak to individuals regarding any questions related to limb loss – more information, as well as phone numbers, can be accessed through the National Limb Loss Resource Center linked on the main website. This site is based on a magazine that is still produced in print today. They provide valuable news, information, and resources. They cover topics to support individuals with limb loss in taking the steps necessary to live life to the fullest. Amplitude also offers information for family members and caregivers. Some of the topics covered include peer support, active living, emotional issues, health and wellness, mobility, and adaptive living. Provides in-depth information on the latest news and research related to all things orthotics and prosthetics. It offers information on products, facilities, and jobs. *Amputee Empowerment Partners

Through the Hanger Clinic website, individuals can find information about AMPOWER, which is a peer-to-peer support program. Individuals can request peer visits, find mentors, and join a few online communities for support, encouragement, and assistance. They have started a new YouTube series title “One Arm Between Us” that discusses issues and challenges faced by individuals with limb loss and prosthetic devices. They also offer resources specifically for family members and caregivers. The website also features patient stories. *Association of Children’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC)
This association provides various, in-depth, informative resources about the treatment options for children, adolescents, and young adults with various differences. ACPOC promotes team collaboration, provides education, stimulates clinical research, and provides information on accessing specialized clinics and healthcare providers. Subscribe to the newsletter (more so for healthcare professionals as you have to become a member of the organization, and there is an associated fee).
